ARTIST AND ILLUSTRATOR

I created this illustration in collaboration with the amazing Mercury Phoenix Trust team for the Freddie Mercury birthday party, which has take part on the 6th of September 2025 in Montreux, at the Casinò Barriere. 

The idea started, as suggested by the Mercury Phoenix Trust team, by the anniversary of the release of "A Night At The Opera", one of the most iconic Queen's album, famous for the songs Bohemian Rhapsody, You're my Best Friend and more.

The idea of the illustrations started from the 70's illustrations of that period, the colors of the album but also some elegant elements taken from the Art Nouveau style, which somehow have influenced some of the 70's music posters of that period. The colors resembled A Night At The Opera original album crest, designed by Freddie Mercury.

The graphic image has been used for different uses, like the adverts on Facebook, Instagram  and on Queen Online website; has been also displayed on the screen videos at the Casinò Barriere in Montreux. 

Last but not least, the image has been used to be part of the merchandise of the party, like Posters, T-shirts, pins and cups.

The illustration has became an official design of the Mercury Phoenix Trust foundation and had became property of the Queen Production.  Each sale of the tickets and the merchandise have been destined to the association.
